Shade gardens and areas that get light sun can be tricky in spring. Planting caladium bulbs can make a ho-hum site spectacular. Most caladium varieties can be overwintered outdoors in zones 9-11. In cooler climates, consider growing caladium plants in pots that can be moved indoors in winter. They will grow nicely indoors, provided they are kept out of direct sunlight. Consider choosing caladium bulbs for sale before the spring planting season. These bulbs can be lifted in fall to be saved for the following spring.
