Lilium martagon Guinea Gold

Lilium martagon Guinea Gold

Aptly named Martagon or Turks Cap Lily delivers flower power and eye-catching color. The golden flowers are splashed with orange-pink speckles, and the back sides are colored in a soft salmon hue. Although it takes some time for a Turk's Cap Lily to get started in the garden, it's well worth the wait, with mature plants producing up to 40 fragrant blooms on each stem, year after year. This easy-care lily grows up to 4' tall. Considered to be one of the best garden lilies for its exceptional naturalizing habit. It's also an excellent choice for planting in garden borders. Guinea Gold also makes a showy cut flower. Attracts butterflies. While this lily prefers well-drained soil, it will tolerate heavier soils. It grows best in full sun to partial shade. Bulb size: 14-16 cm.
  • Hardiness Zones 3-8
  • Mature Height 45 - 52 inches
  • Bloom Time Early summer
  • Light Requirements Full Sun, Half Sun / Half Shade
