German Iris Red Masterpiece

German Iris Red Masterpiece

Great gardens that deliver style, color and the maximum degree of visual impact starts with an attention-getting anchor plant. We believe Red Masterpiece is that plant. This gorgeous, free-flowering, deep red German iris is as beautiful as it is prolific. Each stately, 40" tall stem reliably produces 8-9 healthy flower buds that open to velvety, rich wine-red irises in mid spring. This early bloomer sets the stage nicely for later-flowering iris varieties as well as other perennial plants that bloom in late spring to summer. With its impressive height and exceptional garden performance, Red Masterpiece makes a grand statement in back borders, mixed cutting gardens and centrally located presentation beds. Plant it alone or alongside other iris varieties in a range of bold colors. Either way, the space will surely become an eye-catching sight for visitors to enjoy.
