Decorative Dahlia American Dawn

Decorative Dahlia American Dawn

Introducing a new dahlia in our lineup that's a stunner both coming and going. The front of this sumptuous bloom features layer upon layer of pretty, peach-coral petals. But look on the back of each petal and you'll see a delightful plum-streaked reverse that gives American Dawn that "certain something" not found in many other dahlia varieties. We love to see these dinnerplate-size blooms in large groups, used as a background plant to shorter summertime perennials. Try them in a sunny border, cutting garden or as a focal point planting. Dahlias are not winter hardy, but simply lifting them in fall in zones 3-8 will preserve them for the next year.
  • Hardiness Zones 3-10. Lift in Fall in zones 3-8
  • Mature Height 35 inches
  • Bloom Time July - October (Midsummer until the first frost in fall)
  • Light Requirements Full Sun
  • Deer Resistant
  • Cut Flower
