Grape Hyacinths (Muscari armeniacum)

Grape Hyacinths (Muscari armeniacum)

An early blooming flower, grape hyacinths provide gardens with bright blue, bell-shaped flowers in grape-like clusters, about 6-8" tall. Grape Hyacinths (Muscari armeniacum) are ideal for borders, rock gardens, containers, naturalizing and co-planting with tulips or daffodils. The fragrant flowers attract pollinators, too. If left undisturbed, they multiply rapidly. For the biggest impact, plant grape hyacinths in large groups. Muscari bulbs may also be forced for indoor blooming. Muscari bulbs perform best when planted in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade. Deer tend to avoid.

Botanical Name: Muscari armeniacum
