Dutch Iris Red Ember

Dutch Iris Red Ember

Add sizzle in late spring with this boldly colored and flamboyant iris. Growing 20-22" tall, Dutch Iris Red Ember has smoky purple-red blooms that are lightly kissed with copper and have contrasting yellow blotches. With its flamboyant form and unusual coloration, a planting of Red Ember closely resembles a flock of tropical birds at rest in the landscape. Its tall, straight stems make it perfect for bouquets. To create drifts of rich, red shades, plant in groups among perennials and annuals. It grows best when planted in well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded area. Bulb size: 8+ cm.
