Giant Dinnerplate Dahlia Belle of Barmera

Giant Dinnerplate Dahlia Belle of Barmera

Huge, tropical blooms are a striking blend of coral-raspberry with peach centers—changing almost daily as the flower matures. Phenomenal 10" flowers rise on sturdy stems up to 4' high. The petals on Belle of Barmera are silky with unique twisted tips. Glowing in the perennial border, this Giant Dinnerplate Dahlia flowers dependably throughout summer along with phlox coneflower and rudbeckia. Dramatic and long lasting in the vase! Remove spent flower heads to encourage more blooms and maintain a neat appearance. Dahlias are easy to grow, but not hardy. Take care to lift tubers in zones 3-7 in the fall and store in a dry, frost-free location. Deer tend to avoid. No. 1 clumps.
  • Hardiness Zones 3-10
  • Mature Height 4 - 4.2 feet
  • Bloom Time July - October
  • Light Requirements Full Sun, Half Sun / Half Shade
