Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood Hedge

Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood Hedge

This easy-care, versatile shrub is one that's sure to win admirers. Not many deciduous shrubs are able to provide so many months of interest! Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood bears clusters of fragrant, white flowers in late spring and has dark green leaves, tinged with red and orange shades that turn purple in the fall. What really makes this shrub a standout, though, is its red stems that brighten the winter landscape. Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood is a fast-growing, upright spreading shrub that grows 6-9 ft. tall with a slightly wider spread. Its flowers attract butterflies, and birds feast on its fruits. This versatile shrub tolerates wet soil conditions and can be planted in naturalized areas for erosion control. It also makes an attractive flowering hedge. Deer tend to pass it by. Zones 3-8
