Bear's Breech White Lips

Bear's Breeches, otherwise known as acanthus, is a charming perennial native to the Balkans, but a popular plant in our country, too. Bears 2' tall flower spikes covered in dozens of florets comprised of lush purple hoods and snowy white lips. The stems grow up from rosettes of rich deep green foliage. This variety is more floriferous and compact than its predecessors, making it an ideal choice for borders or feature gardens. A favorite of pollinators! Plant in well-drained, full sun to part shade sites for best results.
