Blue Bugloss Loddon Royalist

Also known as anchusa, this long-blooming perennial adds so much color and beauty to the garden or landscape. The intense blue color of the blooms is a rare find indeed. But Loddon Royalist displays clusters of 1" florets in this radiant hue over an extended period from late spring to midsummer. An unexpected red color sometimes tips the petals, varying from year to year and location to location. Unique black stems reach an impressive height, giving the blooms a little more face time with garden visitors. A top choice for cutting beds, borders and pollinator gardens. Drought tolerant and easy to grow.
