Lycoris radiata (Red Spider Lily)

Lycoris radiata (Red Spider Lily)

Multi-flowering, bright red flowers create a show-stopping, late summer display. Growing 18-24" tall, Lycoris radiata (Red Spider Lily) features strap-shaped green foliage that disappears in July. In August, clusters of spider-like flowers bloom and attract pollinators. Red Spider Lily is also a very showy cut flower. For the best garden performance, plant in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade. Grow in cool greenhouses or outdoors in warmer areas where little or no frost is experienced. In zones lower than 7, apply a winter cover. Lift in fall in zones 4-5.
