Unusual form creates a sweet sensation in flower beds, borders and cut-flower displays. Ice Cream Double Peony Tulip's white petals emerge from a base of deep pink petals. The blooms do not open completely giving the impression of an ice cream cone. Growing 12-16" tall, Ice Cream Tulip blooms in late spring. A perennial favorite, these spectacular blooms are also known as peony tulips due to their large number of petals. Due to their size, they perform best when protected from severe wind and rain. For maximum impact, plant these tulips in groups. Tulip bulbs perform best when planted in well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade.
