White Pine

White Pine

If you want trees in a hurry, the White Pine is a great solution. Native to the northeastern United States and Canada , this evergreen tree is rapid growing and long lived. It's a good choice for growing as a specimen tree or planting in a row as a privacy screen or windbreak near a property line. Its bluish-green needles add year-round color to the landscape and are soft to the touch. While it can grow quite large over time, the White Pine's shape and size can be controlled through pruning. As it matures, this conifer produces 4-8 inch long, cylindrical, brown cones. Deer and rabbits tend to avoid. For best results, plant in full sun to partial shade. Zones 3-8
  • Hardiness Zones 3-8
  • Mature Height 4.2 - 6.7 feet
  • Light Requirements Full Sun, Half Sun / Half Shade
