Reblooming German Iris Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie's appeal in the garden is no mystery. This elegant award winner features beautifully colored, nicely ruffled, well-proportioned blooms that open on gorgeous, 24" stalks. They display their many shades of blue during mid to late spring before returning for a second round of flowering from late summer to early fall. Standards are blue-gray with wisteria-blue style arms, while the white falls are veined and edged in bluebird blue. Beards are hued wisteria blue. An excellent addition to a mixed iris border or cut-flower arrangement. Deer resistant and tolerant of a wide range of well-drained soil types.

Growing Tips

Planting Instructions:
Set rhizome so bottom half is below ground level. Firm well and water thoroughly. Plant where they will get at least 5 hours of sun per day.

Well drained preferred. Quite tolerant of a wide range of soils although.

Pruning Instructions:
Remove spent flower stems after blooming. In late fall, cut back foliage to 6" fans. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.
