Itoh Peony Scarlet Heaven

Gardeners have fallen in love with this magnificent Itoh type. Not only does Scarlet Heaven deliver an abundance of huge, 7-9" fragrant blooms, but like most peonies, it is super long lasting in the garden—sometimes thriving for generations in the landscape! Its flowers are a rich, dark scarlet red with bright, golden-yellow anthers that contrast beautifully with the velvety petals. Borders are ideal sites for the upright, 25-29" mounding plants. Their lush, mid green foliage creating a fine backdrop for the scintillating blooms. Itoh Peonies are easy to grow with a reliable perennializing habit and quick-blooming nature. Butterflies love the deep red blooms.
