This easy-to-grow amaryllis strain is so hardy, it can be planted in the garden and enjoyed for many seasons without digging up and storing for the winter in zones 7-9. The stems reach 15-18" tall and the fragrant, star-shaped blooms are a gorgeous variety of bold and beautiful colors averaging 4-5" across with 3-4 flowers per stem. Its wide, straplike, fleshy leaves emerge before and after flowering. The Hardy Garden Amaryllis Mix is perfect for planting in sunny garden borders, containers and indoors. 14-16 cm bulbs.

    Remove spent flower stalk after blooming. Allow foliage to dry out before removing to allow energy to be stored in the bulb for next year's bloom.

    Reduce amount of water given around early August, allow bulbs to ripen and go into a dormant state for 6-8 weeks. Bring out of cool dark storage after 6-8 weeks to begin growth.
