Both species are known to bring butterflies and other pollinators by the hundreds to the landscape over several months. They are easy to grow and perennialize well, returning yearly. Excellent for fresh-cut arrangements, too.

    Coneflowers have daisy-like flowers with a prominent cone. Heleniums feature clusters of daisy-like flowers (2" diameter) with distinctive wedge-shaped rays (three-lobed at the tips) and prominent, dome-like center disks.

    Coneflowers: mid green, lance-like and slightly toothed. Heleniums: alternate, lance-shaped, dark green leaves (to 6" long).

  • Planting Instructions :

    Loosen soil well before planting. Dig a hole large enough for the roots without the need to bend them. Top of plant should be just below the soil. Plant 28-32" apart.
