A random mix of colors that may include bright red, dark pink, light pink, lavender and white, Astilbe Mixed is an excellent choice for perennial borders, bed plantings and containers. Blooming in early to midsummer, its feathery plumes are showy in the garden and a vase. Lacy, deep green or bronze-green foliage adds texture to the garden throughout the season. It grows best when planted in rich, moist soil and in shade to partial shade. For maximum impact, plant in groups of 5 or more. Deer tend to avoid astilbe plants.
