Lady Fern (Athyrium felix-femina)

Lady Fern (Athyrium felix-femina)

Smaller fern with lacy, bright yellow-green foliage is a favorite for planting in rock gardens, front borders and shade gardens—and it's also a good choice for planting along shaded water features, streams and ponds. Growing 18-24" tall, Lady Fern (Athyrium felix-femina) grows best in partial to full shade and moist soils, but will tolerate some drier conditions and a bit more sun than some ferns. Like other ferns, Lady Fern is a low-maintenance perennial that's easy to grow. Deer tend to avoid.
