Van Bourgondien

This unusual species is native to the humid regions of Southeast Asia. In the jungles its 12" diameter, bat-shaped blooms are pollinated by exotic jungle creatures as they brush past the two foot long "whiskers". Grow these flowers in well-draining pots inundated with water throughout the growing season. In shady, humid growing situations with plenty of water and liguid fertilizer, these plants can grow as tall as three feet.
