Hybridizers Dahlia Mix
Latin Name: Dahlia
Common Name: Dahlia
A beautiful and colorful mixture of many unnamed varieties from one of Holland's leading Dahlia Hybridizers, Mr. Rene Rotteveel. It contains seedlings from his breeding program. It is a mix that will be very hard to find anywhere else; no two flowers are alike!
Dahlias can be started indoors in individual pots with damp peat moss and vermiculite. Be very careful in transplant process. Choose a sunny spot with well-drained, sandy soil. Dig soil to a depth of 12". Amend soil with peat moss or compost. Replace half the soil, then place tubers flat and cover with remaining soil. Space 12-36" part depending on variety. Water after planting and not again until shoots appear. Stake plants. Increase Watering as the plant grows. Fertilize sparingly.
For best results in achieving larger blooms, carefully pinch and disbud blooms to develop one central flower.
