I am very lucky to live in San Diego because the climate enables me to garden year round, and the possibilities appear to be limitless here. I can grow tropical, subtropical, Mediterranean, succulent and cactus plants here - sometime side by side.

I like to have flowers in the garden for all seasons. I also like cutting them for my wife's flower arrangements. I walk around the garden in the morning everyday before work. The beautiful flowers cheer me up and get me ready for the day.

Alstromeria is my favorite plant because it flowers year round here. There are so many flower colors and the plants come in various heights. I have them scattered in the garden. I also have mixed Ranunculus, Japanese camellia, Margarete Daisies, ivy-leafed geraniums, and Abutilon.
