Some people like nice polite little Tulips that are tidy, demure, and pretty, without making a spectacle of themselves... Not me! Give me a big, gaudy, ostentatious Tulip any day of the week! I figure, the garden has been bundled up in winter drabness for so long, once springtime arrives it's time to kick up your heels and show a little leg! Well, metaphorically speaking, of course! I only have a small balcony, I love the colourful variety of tulips . Bur my rail boxes are only 3" deep, so I am looking for dwarf like tulips.Would the dirt be deep enough and is there such a thing?

Yes there is such a thing. There are specie tulips that should only be planted 2-3” deep. These are low growing tulips that only grow 6-10” tall depending on the varieties. They will come back year after year. Some of the tulips that we offer are below. Generally speaking the top size for these specie tulips are 6-7 cm. in circumference.
