Dear Gardeners:
No flowers are more romantic than the sweetly scented roses of summer. Birds, bees, and fanciful maidens all flock to the heavenly perfume. This spring we are thrilled to carry the immensely popular Knock Out Roses in our catalog. These roses never need to be deadheaded, cut back in winter, or sprayed for fungal problems like black spot! It seems that all you have to do is plant them, get them established, and stand back and enjoy... I have yet to discover a more care-free garden rose!
I personally love the look of a Clematis planted to climb through a rose. The big satiny petals of the Clematis compliment the velvety petals of the roses beautifully. The top of the Clematis reaches for the hot sun at the top of the rose while its roots remain cool and shaded down below.
Check out our sumptuous spring array of Clematis and Roses. Play with color combinations like hot pink and cherry pink, yellow and purple, candy pink and chartreuse, etc. Or, just pick your favorite of each and plant them together; let nature determine your creative design composition. You never know what beautiful, subtle tones will appear when one flower is paired with another!
